Robotics, Virtual Reality, Embedded Systems, Control Systems and Human Robot Interaction with a focus on how latest robotic technologies can be used to benefit the society in near future

Biography:
Graduated from the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2007. Earned a Master (2010) and Ph.D. (2013) in Media Design at Graduate School of Media Design, Keio University. Work experience includes research engineer and internships at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) and University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka. Won best paper, demo awards at IROS, ICAT, Laval Virtual and International Exhibition of Inventions etc... Current research focuses on complex manipulations in teleoperations while feeling the robot body as an extension of your own body through visual, auditory and haptic sensations.
