Biography:
Graduated from the Department of Economics, Hitotsubashi University and Columbia Business School. Engaged in KMD’s “creative industry”project, which includes modernizing and industrializing traditional Japanese culture (urushi), establishing a new music distribution business model, developing new virtual reality games, and re-designing of the role of Buddhism and temple, in partnership with Sabae city in Fukui prefecture.
Previously, worked on policies for industry, IT, trade, and energy at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (currently Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Senior advisor to the Minister for Economic/Fiscal Policy and Minister for Internal Affairs, promoting structural reform.
Books and publications include “Net Imperialism and the Defeat of Japan” and “Apple and Amazon are Eating Japan Alive”.
