The Cybernetic being Meetup is an event hosted by the “Project Cybernetic being” under the Moonshot R&D Program Goal 1 by the Japan Science and Technology Agency: “Realization of a society in which human beings can be free from limitations of body, brain, space, and time by 2050”.
In this event, Cybernetic Being Meetup vol.06, titled “A Lightweight Body that Transcends Aging”, will discuss the future and possibilities of utilizing sensory-stimulating devices that allow people to receive others’ sensations and share abilities—applying this to both the prevention of frailty in the aging body and education in early childhood.
The discussion will be moderated by Minamizawa from KMD the project manager for this project. Joining the discussion as guests will include the project’s principal researchers: Dr. Hikari Yukawa, Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology, and Professor Hitoshi Hirata, at the Center for Advanced Preventive Medical Sciences, Nagoya University. Together, we will explore the idea of a society where people can help each other regardless of age or illness and where anyone can always challenge themselves.
*This event will be conducted in Japanese only.
