A co-creation project of new bodily expressions that transcend barriers of disability through body-augmentation technology, stage performances 【IKA】【B2J】 will be presented at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, as part of the Japan Sports Agency’s exhibition project “Sports Future Lab”
AXEREAL Co., Ltd. (CEO: Ryoichi Ando), the general incorporated association WITH ALS (Representative Director: Masatane Muto), and the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (Dean: Masahiko Inakage, hereinafter referred to as KMD) have been promoting the performance projects “IKA (Defamiliarized Body Expression)” and “Brain Body Jockey Project (B2J)”, utilizing body-augmentation technologies to create a future of freer expression, regardless of physical ability.
Together with Mikito Ogino (Project Researcher, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo), Ory Yoshifuji (Representative Director & CVO, OryLab Inc.), Shunsuke Aoki (Chief Researcher, Dentsu ScienceJam Inc.), Kenta Kanbara (wheelchair dancer), and TOMC (ambient music producer), the project explores new possibilities for embodied expression.
These live performances will take place on September 7–8, 2025, as part of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, under the Japan Sports Agency’s official program “Sports Future Lab” We invite you to witness this moment where people and technology unite to create new forms of bodily expression—unconstrained by physical limitations—and to envision how such innovation could transform the daily lives of future humanity.
