Biography

Yize Hu received his PhD in History of Science from Johns Hopkins University in 2024. He was a D. Kim Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyoto University before joining KMD and the Respi:re Project in 2025. His research explores the history and the sociopolitical implications of information technologies in Japan and East Asia. He also develops digital humanities toolkits for social network analysis and data visualization.
