The Cybernetic being Meetup is an event hosted by the “Project Cybernetic being” under the Moonshot R&D Program Goal 1 by the Japan Science and Technology Agency: “Realization of a society in which human beings can be free from limitations of body, brain, space, and time by 2050”.
In this event, Cybernetic Being Meetup vol.08, titled “Envisioning the ‘Human’ in 2050.” This session will explore the question “What does it mean to be human in the future?” through discussions on topics such as cybernetic avatars, science fiction, and the metaverse—examining the future of the human mind, body, and society from multiple perspectives.
The discussion will be moderated by Osawa from Keio University, a member of the project. Joining the session are project manager Minamizawa from Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD), project member Narumi from the University of Tokyo, and guest speakers: science fiction writer Ningen Rokudo and composer/ Vocaloid producer/ creative director sasakure.UK.
